Cosplay Corner #1 Interview: Naomi VonKreeps

Welcome to the first Cosplay Corner where we will share awesome cosplays, male or female and hopefully get a chance to interview them and see what makes them tick.  

I just recently got to interview the amazing Naomi VonKreeps, cosplayer and self-proclaimed dork/spaz.

GWN: Thanks for doing this interview, how are you?
I’m doing fantabulouslyamazing! How are you? 😀

GWN: I’m great thanks! What kind of a geek niche do you think you fit into? ie. Comics, movies, games, etc.
Mainly movies and video games, and comics lol

GWN: What are your top 5 movies, games, and tv shows?
Oh man..this is a hard one.

GWN: If you cast a patronus charm what shape would it take?
A Unicorn!

GWN: Why did you start cosplaying?
I’ve always liked dressing up. I would get soooo frakkin excited about Halloween every year, then I discovered cosplaying and was like “I CAN DRESS UP EVERY DAY!!!!!”

GWN: What’s you favourite cosplay that you’ve made?
My Edward Kenway. By far. This was the most intricate cosplay I have done thus far. I worked so hard on this cosplay and it turned out awesome, if I do say so myself.

GWN: What costume are you best know for?
Probably my Star Wars inspired ones unfortunately. lol It is unfortunate because those were my first cosplays and I had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING and they were terrible! For some reason people loved them though, and although they are quite old, I STILL come across photos of them. I don’t even consider them cosplays to be honest.

GWN: Who are your favourite cosplayers?
Soooo many. Lightning Cosplay, Kamui cosplay, Kristen Hughey, Annaka Vader, Alexa Heart, Jessica Nigri, Yaya Han,..I could go on and on and on.

GWN: What is your absolute favourite thing about cosplaying?
Probably the making of the cosplays. It can be extremely frustrating but it is always worth it

GWN: Do you have any cool hobbies other than cosplaying?
I collect belly button lint. Wait..that just makes me creepy. LOL. I’m a runner. Is that considered a hobby? Probably not a cool one though. I also collect stuff. Mainly Star Wars and Assassin’s Creed merchandise.

GWN: Do your co-workers know about your cosplaying?
Yeah, most kind of do, but probably not to what extent although a few know everything and follow me on twitter and stuff. Hi John! Hi Sherwin!

GWN: Will you be going to Toronto FanExpo this year?
I’m NOT!!!! I’m so sad, but I will be vacationing on the beach in Cape Cod, so I guess that is a good tradeoff 😀

GWN: I guess that is a good trade off!  Anything you want to say to the folks at home? 
just want to say thanks to everyone who follows me and supports me. I’m truly appreciative of how positive everyone is!
